WNE

After a successful launch, the World Nuclear Exhibition or WNE will be presented for the second time in Summer 2016, from June 28th to 30th at Paris Le Bourget, Hall 2B.

This edition will be twice as grand as the first, and is expected to attract over 10,000 visitors from all around the world.

Highly international and business oriented, the WNE showed the capacity of the industry to gather. This biennial event covers the entire civil nuclear industry and will enable all those involved to present their know-how, to discuss experiences and best practices, to forge partnerships, to find new suppliers and to build their exports.

“The civil nuclear industry in the global energy mix” is the theme of the second WNE
. Extending the operating lives and maintaining existing power plants, new projects and future technologies, the fuel cycle, finance, skills and training… These are the key themes that will be addressed during the various events and high points that will take place during WNE 2016: the Awards Ceremony, panel discussions, exhibitor workshops followed by networking sessions, business meetings, side events for professionals and visits to industrial sites.

What will be new in 2016?

  • Innovation and technologies are this year at the heart of the event.

The nuclear industry is a high tech industry in which research and innovation play major roles. Being held for the second time, WNE will shine the spotlight on the companies that ensure the industry’s excellence by organizing a wide ranging support programme:

  • Innovation Planet, dedicated to young, innovative companies from all over the world.
  • An innovation competition, culminating in an awards ceremony,
  • Meet the Experts, informal discussions with technical experts.
  • The WNE 2016 will focus on training requirements and employment

This year, sessions will be offered to countries who need specific training. The industry requires highly qualified employees; it is not easy for countries that enter to nuclear power to ensure they have the relevant human resources. The Training Planet and the Recruitment Village are designed to respond to these needs.
